The Festival has teamed up with Waveney & Blyth Arts to invite Mark Cocker, naturalist, broadcaster, prize-winning author of creative non-fiction (Crow Country, Birds and People, Our Place) and Norfolk resident, to share his passion for rivers and their wild inhabitants. Otters, water voles and kingfishers, herons and water-dwelling spiders may all make an appearance.

They will be complemented by extracts from Translated by Reeds, an evocative song cycle about the Waveney and Blyth rivers commissioned by W&BA in 2012 from composer Karen Wimhurst and poet Joanna Guthrie, performed live by the Halesworth community Choir led by Janet Koralambe.
